My last two homes have Therma Tru doors and I have always disliked having to use both hands to lock the door from the outside or the inside. The Smart Door Lock Slim is the perfect upgrade to the existing lock mechanism. To retrofit the door for the new lock does require two additional holes to be drilled, and to increase the size of the cutout for the handle. Once installed it works as advertised and works well. Access is via fingerprint, keycard, or code. The multipoint lock still works as well to secure the door. The deadbolt is now only used via the key slot and is a backup way to lock the door and prevent it from opening at all.
Dealing with the company was great. Dimitri was very helpful as I asked over a dozen questions before/after purchasing because I knew once I start the install and put new holes in the door there was no going back. They even provided a tech video call and David was very helpful.
I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for the ease of entry and exit.
I would give it five stars if the mobile app was better than the Tuya app, which I already use for other home automations. The ability to lock the door remotely, enable/disable passage mode and set the times when passage mode is enabled/disabled would make this solution perfect. Also, and knowing every door is different, there was very little help installing it on a Therma Tru door so answering my questions was great because I did a DIY install and it just works.

After the measurements and confirmation, the lock arrived in about two weeks cost me about $150 to install for my commercial aluminum door. I can’t say it was easy but nothing complicated instructions were OK to follow.

The auto lock that is built in is the only issue we have with the door lock, no way to turn it off thru the app, only option is onsite, turning on the passage feature. Not a good option for a rental setup requiring 50 - 60 code entry per day because the door locks immediately behind the guest.
It is a good lock and will work well in residential setting or a low activity property, but for rentals and the lack of being able to turn this built in feature off, not a good choice for us. Since we had to modify the door, we are stuck with it for now .
Very happy to find a digital lock option for our door with a frost glass insert The slim design worked perfectly. Malcolm was great to work with for installation Only thing that could be improved is the digital display is hard to see when the sun shines on it.

Love this thing! Took me years to find a smart door lock for our ThermaTru French Doors. Have everyone in our family’s finger finger print program. The tech and customer support staff were super responsive!!!! Totally impressed by the service and product!

I appreciate that they refund the lock it okay but the locksmith say unable to install for the sliding lock with the business double door so I just returned it
